Some states have even more qualifications you must meet so it’s important to research what your own state requires. To become a Personal Care Aide or a Home Health Aide, a person must complete training and competency evaluations. This training must be conducted by an approved Personal Care Aide Training Program or an approved Home Health Aide Training Program . Department of Health approved training programs provide basic or core training as well as competency evaluations for those with prior training and/or relevant experience.

The ACA offers several courses, but aspiring business owners should select the Caregiver Business Bundle for $179, which will establish you as an independent care provider in the ACA’s National Caregiver Registry . Entities established after December 12, nclexthewaytopass 2009 must obtain a license prior to providing home care services. The regulations for HCAs and HCRs were published in the Pennsylvania Bulletin as final rule-making. Home Health Aides are not licensed or certified by the Agency for Health Care Administration or any other Florida state agency or federal agency. Home health care jobs are one of the fastest growing professions in the country today.

This session will review ordinances & federal regulations, enforcement/regulatory bodies, policy & advocacy and resources. You’ll learn which of the regulations/ordinances apply to your individual Home Care Organization and whether you must become licensed as a Home Care Agency or a Home Health Agency. You will also learn the regulations and laws that apply to every business and what you must comply with, things such as safety standards, wage and hour requirements and business licensing. The Home Health Aide Certificate of Achievement prepares individuals to enter the healthcare industry as a Home Health Aide and builds on the Personal Care Attendant Certificate of Achievement for career advancement.
